Hurricane Katrina’s storm surge overwhelmed the levee system protecting the Ninth Ward. Fortunately, all residents and personnel were successfully evacuated and temporarily relocated. St. Margaret’s, however, had over 6 feet of standing, contaminated water for over 2 weeks. While St. Margaret’s was insured, insurance alone will not provide the financial resources necessary to rebuild.

Without your help, this Catholic ministry of quality health care for the poor and elderly may come to an end.
